Much Like Myself
I stumbled on this some this picture over at CG Unit and was immediately struck by it. The imagery is so simple but tells such a deep story. The story it conveys reminds me a lot of myself. The juxtaposition of the color, light, and playfulness surrounded by a shades of gray and a general feeling of melancholy really speaks to me.
Are there any pieces of art that effect you on a personal level?

Lawrence Yang
I love StumbleUpon and if you don’t use it then you are missing out. Much of what I post here is a direct result of repeatedly pressing the Stumble! button when I should be working.
One of my most favorite finds is an artist by the name of Lawrence Yang and his website suckatlife and blog blowatlife. I find his art so inspiring. The kind of work that I could stare at endlessly and create my own stories for. The colors are gorgeous and in many of his pieces there is this odd combination of both loneliness and hope that create beautiful stories in my head.

Octo-Light

I stumbled on Adam Wallacavage and his amazing chandeliers few weeks ago. I think it’s such a clever idea and the craftsmanship is amazing. This one was my favorite not just because it’s pink but I love the pearl details. So pretty!
